A project dealing with recycled and reclaimed materials focused on wood, a material which plays an important role in our production. We created a collection of wooden stools out of discarded wood from a carpentry workshop in our studio building.
We started from a cube measuring 42 × 42 × 42 cm, roughly 74 liters, which corresponds to the average daily amount of wood waste discarded by that workshop.
We decided to transform these leftovers into new furniture pieces — less controlled, more spontaneous, and perhaps a little more forgivable in their imperfections.
About the collection:
50% OFF is a study of process, asking how ideas change as soon as they are translated into something tangible. It’s a reflection on creative loss—because something is always given up in the act of making. What remains is not the full initial idea, but half of it: altered, reduced, and perhaps more honest.
