For this piece, the challenge was to create a three-dimensional object using flattened versions of our basic extruded elements. Flattening becomes the inverse gesture of extrusion—a drawing compressed into form.

A rigid aluminium grid establishes a structural frame. Within its strict 90-degree geometry, we introduce a sense of freedom through warped, bent ceramic tiles, allowing irregularity and movement to emerge inside a controlled system.

About the collection:
50% OFF is a study of process, asking how ideas change as soon as they are translated into something tangible. It’s a reflection on creative loss—because something is always given up in the act of making. What remains is not the full initial idea, but half of it: altered, reduced, and perhaps more honest.
